Passionate about Hydrotherapy
Hydrotherapy is a huge part of what we do at Summerseat Physiotherapy Clinic and is something we are really passionate about.
Looking back over a recent 6-week period, our team completed an amazing 50 hydrotherapy sessions across the North West!
For many of our clients, being in the pool allows them to move in ways that simply aren’t possible on dry land. In hydrotherapy we can develop walking, swimming, exercise, movement control, and movement confidence in a warm and supported environment.
Hydrotherapy is also incredibly valuable for people with very limited movement, helping to maintain posture, respiratory function, digestion, and overall wellbeing.
And importantly, it can be fun too!
At Summerseat Physiotherapy, all of our physiotherapists and assistants complete Pool Responder training, helping us provide safe, supportive, and high-quality sessions for every client.
We’re also incredibly grateful to work across around 20 different pools throughout the North West and to have built such positive relationships with the teams, schools and pool providers we work alongside including:
Ann Pimm, Clinical Director says “I feel very lucky to have trained in hydrotherapy as part of my Physiotherapy qualification, including the Badregaz and Halliwick methods. In 2025, I also had the opportunity to work in Mexico with Therapies Unite delivering hydrotherapy training for Master’s students from Keele University, an experience I really enjoyed. It’s brilliant to see the difference hydrotherapy can make — not just physically, but emotionally and socially too.”
