Rosie has previous experience working within the private Orthopaedic/acute respiratory sector at BMI Beardwood Hospital and Spire Private Hospital. In addition, she has worked in musculoskeletal physiotherapy for the North Staffordshire Trust, developing strong transferable skills that are highly relevant to her role at Summerseat Physiotherapy.
Rosie is a highly experienced AACP-trained acupuncturist (including electro-acupuncture) , treating since 2009 and has integrated acupuncture into all her clinical roles. She finds it to be a highly effective intervention for managing pain and addressing abnormal muscle tone. Since completing her postgraduate training, she has further developed her skills to include scalp, auricular (ear), and electro-acupuncture, allowing her to tailor treatments to meet the individual needs of all clients.
She is also a Bobath trained therapist and a APPI-trained Pilates instructor with an interest in FES (Functional Electrical Stimulation), lycra therapy and robotics.
Rosie enjoys working as part of a multidisciplinary team and places strong emphasis on actively involving patients and carers in goal setting and rehabilitation planning. She believes physiotherapy should be engaging and motivating and is committed to continually developing her knowledge and skills to provide the highest standard of care for her patients.
