Ann Pimm is the proud owner and Clinical Director of Summerseat Physiotherapy. Established in 2014, she has treated many hundreds of adults and children with neurological conditions.

Having built up extensive knowledge of the physiotherapy needs of adults and children with brain, spinal and complex injury, Ann sees her job as facilitating the body to relearn or learn for the first time how to be the most functional they can be and reach their maximal physical potential.

Over the years Ann has built up a strong network, bringing together other service providers in Neurological Rehabilitation both nationally and locally.  She has been honoured to speak at conferences internationally, for APIL nationally as well as for universities, case management and therapy organisations on specific and general issues within Neurological Physiotherapy Rehabilitation. Ann has also spoken at the first GANDS conference in the UK (second one internationally) about the specific intervention needed for the children with this condition.

Ann also brings experience of working in Singapore and Canada as a physiotherapist. She actively supports Therapies Unite in Mexico, a charity that provides specialist paediatric support, equipment and access to rehabilitation therapies in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. In 2025, she spent time with Master degree student physiotherapists on placement in Mexico providing hydrotherapy and postural management training and supporting them in their hydrotherapy, accessible sports, a postural clinic and a paediatric school placement.

Ann manages the team to ensure constant innovation in the practice, by attending international and national neurological conferences as well as linking with equipment providers and other professionals in the field.  With her wealth of experience, Ann is also called upon as a Medico Legal Expert Witness, undertaking assessments and report writing for personal injury and medical negligence cases.

A driving force for good, Ann also organises Bury’s annual Accessible Festival and is a founding committee member for Headway charity in Bury and Trustee for MTPSS.
